If you live overseas and read my blog, you probably are not familiar with Mister Rogers. In the U.S., we have a Public Broadcasting System, a collection of Public TV stations across the country that offer educational, instructional, informative, and entertaining program. Mister Rogers Neighborhood was a wonderful children’s program that was smart, kind, and educational. It was a program that possessed wisdom really for the children and adults. As a child of a single parent household, TV was my babysitter and Mister Rogers was the perfect person for the job. I miss his presence in this world.
The video below is Mister Rogers remixed by Symphony of Science’s John Boswell for PBS Digital Studios.
When we discovered video mash-up artist John D. Boswell, aka melodysheep, on YouTube, we immediately wanted to work together. Turns out that he is a huge Mister Rogers Neighborhood fan, and was thrilled at the chance to pay tribute to one of our heroes. Both PBS and the Fred Rogers Company hope you like John’s celebration of Fred Rogers’ message. (Headphones highly recommended!)
This is the first in a series of PBS icons remixed.
